Exhaust Silencer / Muffler · Exhaust Silencer
MaxxSilence MSP-400-30dB is a marine exhaust silencer or muffler (Exhaust Silencer / Exhaust Silencer / Muffler). It is normally installed in the exhaust-gas line between an engine or generator and the uptake or funnel. It is intended to attenuate exhaust noise while allowing gas flow through the exhaust system. The meaning of any embedded size or rating code should be confirmed in manufacturer documentation. In service it interfaces with exhaust piping, expansion joints, supports, insulation and the engine or generator exhaust outlet.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Inspect casing, welds, supports, expansion joints, drains, insulation and signs of exhaust leakage or hot spots. Listen for loose internal components and compare engine exhaust behaviour with normal operating trends. Any backpressure limit, internal inspection interval or repair criterion must be taken from engine and silencer manufacturer documentation.
Useful spares include expansion-joint elements where fitted, gaskets, support hardware, insulation and cladding materials, drain components and manufacturer-approved internal repair parts if the design permits onboard replacement.
