ME Series

Exhaust Gas Boiler · Boilers

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

The Mihara ME Series is an exhaust gas boiler. It is normally installed in a diesel-engine exhaust path connected to the vessel's boiler-water and steam system. It is designed for steam generation by recovering energy from hot engine exhaust gas. In operation, exhaust gas transfers heat through boiler surfaces to water/steam without additional firing. The supplied entry gives no additional verified capacity, pressure, power or dimensional figure for this model. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are exhaust flow, heating surface, steam conditions, circulation and pressure rating; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on soot, circulation, tube leakage, water treatment, soot-fire risk and expansion. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service notes.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Service notes

Inspect pressure parts or heater coils, heat-source/burner and refractory where applicable, gas-side cleanliness, circulation/feed systems and water or thermal-fluid condition. Verify level, pressure, temperature, flow, safety valves and shutdown/interlock functions applicable to the design. Review treatment, blowdown, soot-cleaning and operating records and use manufacturer/class procedures for pressure tests.

Spare parts notes

Carry approved gaskets, valve service parts, relevant pump seals/bearings, temperature/pressure/level sensors and heat-source-specific spares such as burner ignition/flame components or soot-cleaning parts. Pressure-part repair materials should only be used under approved manufacturer and class procedures.

Free of charge — we forward your request to qualified suppliers for Mihara equipment from our network of over 114,000 maritime companies.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we usually come back with prices; without them we have to ask first, which costs a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.

Frequently asked

Three things people ask first.

Is this model's data free?

Yes. Specifications, documents and service notes for this model are readable without an account. An account adds saved searches and requests, nothing is taken away.

Can you find a part for this exact model?

Yes. Tell us the manufacturer, the model and what you need — our desk asks the right suppliers from a network of over 114,000 companies and comes back with a quote or a sourcing plan.

The specifications look wrong — what now?

Send us the nameplate or the correct value. We check it against the manufacturer datasheet or class-society record and update the page.
