OSC Series
GEA Westfalia Separator is a German manufacturer headquartered in Oelde, Westphalia. The OSC series (Oil Separator Centrifuge) is the direct competitor to Alfa Laval ALCAP in the marine market. Technically excellent, but lower market penetration than Alfa Laval (estimated 15–20% marine market share). Frequently specified on German, Dutch and Scandinavian newbuilds. The OSC series uses a friction clutch drive system instead of the Alfa Laval worm gear.
