Deluge Systems (General)

Conduct annual full trip test of deluge valves; record time from detector activation to water discharge through all nozzles; verify compliance with maximum 3-year interval requirement for full trip tests

Visually inspect pressure gauges quarterly; verify water pressure at hydraulically remote sprinkler and deluge valve inlet; confirm jockey pump maintains correct pressure (9 bar for ProCon systems, 40-90 bar for ProCon XP)

Visually inspect all open nozzles (Viking Model A, C-1, ProCon, Marine XP) for paint coverage, debris accumulation, corrosion, bent deflectors, or mechanical damage; remove random sample of sprinklers for laboratory endoscopic examination of pipe network deposits; assess residual wall thicknesses

Perform endoscopic examination of main pipe network for internal corrosion, mineral deposits, and rust; assess hydraulic impact and remaining pipe wall thickness; conduct main drain tests to verify control valve operation; inspect all trim valves in correct open/closed positions

For systems with electric or pneumatic release (TraFoProtect with UniVario/FMZ 5000, PVProtect with heat detectors, EconAqua systems): verify all detector signal paths; test short circuit detection in monitoring circuits; confirm automatic activation signal transmission under simulated fire conditions; check for line interruptions or water supply status indicator function
