The Hatlapa Steering Gear Type B is an electro-hydraulic steering gear installed in the steering gear compartment at the stern. It moves the rudder stock to the commanded angle from the bridge, using a hydraulic power unit and rudder actuator. The unit is listed as IMO compliant.
