The Wärtsilä Aquarius product line comprises ballast water treatment systems using two main technologies: UV-based systems (Aquarius UV/UVX) with filtration plus UV irradiation, and electro-chlorination (Aquarius EC) with filtration plus side-stream electrochlorination. Both systems are approved for IMO MEPC.300(72) and USCG certification.
