The Teledyne RESON T50-P is a high-frequency multibeam echo‑sounder that provides up to 512 simultaneous beams for detailed shallow-water seabed mapping. As an Echo Sounder, it is normally installed on the bridge with the required external sensors, antennas, displays and data-network interfaces. In that role, its primary purpose is to provide navigation, position, heading, speed, depth, traffic or bridge-management information according to the listed category.
