Framo TransRec Series

Framo Framo TransRec Series is a marine deepwell cargo pump. It is normally installed vertically in a cargo tank or pump well with the drive and service connections arranged at tank top. Its primary purpose is to transfer liquid cargo directly from the tank through the cargo piping system. Compared with central pump-room arrangements, a deepwell pump places the pumping element within the individual tank and therefore requires attention to long shafts, bearings, seals and tank-top interfaces. The supplied record already contains the available concise model or rating information, so those existing figures are not duplicated here and no additional meaning is inferred from the model code. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Common failures & inspection points

Bearing or shaft wear causes vibration, noise, reduced efficiency or mechanical contact
Seal or tank-top leakage causes visible cargo leakage or vapour escape
Hydraulic, electric or mechanical drive faults cause reduced speed, inability to start or protective trip
Impeller or pump-stage fouling causes low discharge pressure or reduced cargo rate
Dry running or poor liquid level causes overheating, vibration or damage to internal components

Service & Maintenance

Inspect tank-top seals, drive, bearings, vibration, discharge pressure and leakage. Confirm stripping and minimum-liquid operating practices follow the approved cargo procedure. Monitor condition during cargo operations and investigate abnormal vibration immediately. Exact clearances, minimum levels and wear limits require manufacturer documentation.
