CJC BFU 170/185
The CC Jensen CJC BFU 170/185 is a fuel-oil filtration unit. It is normally installed in the transfer, treatment, booster or engine-supply fuel system. It is designed for removal of solid contamination before sensitive pumps and injection equipment. In operation, fuel passes through a replaceable, cleanable or automatic filtering element/screen. The supplied entry states the intended fuel or liquid service as HFO/MGO; this information is retained unchanged. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are filtration grade, housing size, HFO/MDO/MGO suitability and cleaning/changeover arrangement; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on differential pressure, elements/screens, seals, heaters, bypass/changeover and automatic cleaning. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service & Maintenance
Trend differential pressure, inspect filter elements/screens and verify automatic-cleaning or changeover functions where fitted. Check housing closures, seals, drains, heaters and bypass/changeover valves and confirm the fitted filtering element is correct for the fuel service. Inspect carefully for leakage onto hot surfaces.
