Fuel Oil Filter · Fuel Oil Treatment
Filtrex LO-50 is a marine fuel-oil filtration unit. It is normally installed in the fuel-treatment or engine supply system between storage, conditioning and the final fuel consumers. Its primary purpose is to remove solid contamination before fuel reaches pumps, injectors, burners or downstream treatment equipment. Compared with a centrifugal purifier, the filter removes particles by a filtration element or automatic backflushing mechanism rather than density separation. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.
What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Trend differential pressure and inspect removed contamination to identify abnormal fuel condition. Check covers, seals, changeover or backflush valves, drains and heating arrangements where fitted. Confirm correct element type and orientation from the manufacturer documentation. Inspect for evidence of bypassing or poor maintenance.
Carry correct filter elements or inserts, cover seals and O-rings, valve seals, drain parts, differential-pressure switches and backflush-control components where fitted.
