Super Trident sewage treatment plants (STPs) from Wärtsilä are considered to be the most cost-effective and safe answer within the marine industry for processing wastewater at sea. No tempering with our oceanss quality, fully compliant with IMO MEPC 227(64) guidelines. These guidelines have been in place for new-build ships since 1 January 2016. Each Super Trident sewage treatment unit is optimised for processing all black and grey wastewater streams on board of ships and offshore platforms. The plants are compatible with both conventional gravity and vacuum fed collection systems. Each STP is fully automatic, allowing for unattended operation. On-board maintenance requirements are reduced and long-term operating costs are significantly lowered. Wärtsilä sewage treatment plants are compact and modular in design, suitable for between-deck installations and adaptable to customer new-build specifications.
