The interface valve is reliable, easy to maintain, and has been installed in USN/USCG ships and merchant marine vessels throughout the world.

- Inspect the bowl-to-valve seal and pipe joints for vacuum leakage (soap test or vacuum decay test)
- Check the vacuum generator/pump oil or seal condition per its own maintenance schedule
- Inspect non-return/check valves in the discharge line for correct seating
- Verify low-vacuum alarm function at the control panel
- Check the flush actuation button/sensor for correct, single-cycle operation
