Membrane BioReactor (MBR) Sewage System
Wärtsilä/Hamworthy MBR treatment plants use membrane filtration for high-quality wastewater treatment that complies with the most stringent IMO requirements (MEPC.227(64)). MBR technology produces effluent with <10 mg/l TSS — significantly better than conventional biological systems. Increasingly mandatory on cruise ships and in special areas (Baltic Sea, Arctic).
