Sprinkler / Deluge Fire System
Tyco (now Johnson Controls Fire Protection) is the world's largest manufacturer of sprinkler systems. SOLAS requires automatic sprinklers in all accommodation spaces and public areas on passenger ships. On cargo ships optional, but increasingly installed. Deluge systems (open nozzles, simultaneous actuation) are used for engine room areas and helipads.
