Marine Thermal Oil Heater
Sunrod (now Wärtsilä) produces thermal oil heaters as an alternative to steam boilers on vessels where no steam is required, but heat is needed for tanker cargo heating, HFO pre-heating or cargo temperature maintenance. Thermal oil systems have no boiler pressure (atmospheric) and no water treatment — but carry the risk of oil degradation and coking.
