Sperre is a Norwegian compressor manufacturer from Ellingsøy near Ålesund, founded 1938. The HV2 series is the best-selling marine start air compressor of the last 30 years and de facto standard on European and Scandinavian newbuilds. Robust 2-stage reciprocating design with water-cooled cylinders. Sperre has an estimated worldwide market share of 25–30% in the marine air compressor segment.
