Main Engine 2-Stroke · Main Engines (2-Stroke)
The MAN S50ME-C9.7-LGIP is a low‑speed, two‑stroke marine diesel engine featuring MAN's Low‑Pressure Gas Injection Pump (LGIP) technology, delivering high thermal efficiency and flexible fuel operation for large commercial vessels.
What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Servicing per the manufacturer's manual and classification society requirements. Annual inspection at class survey. Stock spare parts as specified by the manufacturer.
Primärer Einsatz auf VLGC-Neubauten (Very Large Gas Carriers).
| Parameter | Expected | Deviation means |
|---|---|---|
Causes: LPG verbrennt sehr sauber — keine abrasiven Partikel die Deposits wegschleifen, Zylinderöl bildet keinen ausreichenden Schmierfilm ohne leichte Rauigkeit, Zu hohe Laufbuchsen-Temperatur
Preventive: Nur MAN-zugelassene Dichtungsmaterialien verwenden, Injektoren in festen Intervallen tauschen
IMO Tier II standard, Tier III im LGIP-Modus möglich. IGF-Code Compliance erforderlich.
