The 6AYEM-ET is a common-rail, 6-cylinder, 155x180 mm, 20.38 L turbocharged marine diesel with sea-water-cooled intercooling, rated 599 kW/803 mhp at 1900 rpm and certified to EPA Tier III as well as meeting IMO requirements. It uses constant high-temperature engine cooling with an optional dual-circuit keel cooling system, and pairs with the YXH-240-7 hydraulic multi-disc clutch marine gear.
