The 3YM27AK is the keel-cooled variant of the 3YM27A lifeboat propulsion engine, sharing the same 3-cylinder, 1.115 L block and continuous/max ratings (19.4/21.3 kW) but with a keel cooling circuit instead of a heat exchanger, giving a shorter overall height (575 mm vs 649 mm) and lower dry weight (138 kg vs 147 kg). Built for SOLAS lifeboat propulsion; does not comply with US EPA standards.
