Inspect the plate-pack edges, frame, tightening bolts, connections and supports for leakage, corrosion, distortion and piping loads. When opened, check plates for deposits, pitting, erosion, cracks and deformation and verify correct plate sequence and gasket seating during reassembly. Use only cleaning methods compatible with the installed plate and gasket materials.
