Aalborg-XW-TG-3-20bar
The Alfa Laval S.p.A. Aalborg-XW-TG-3-20bar is a forced-circulation water-tube exhaust gas economizer in the Aalborg XW-TG waste-heat-recovery family. It is installed downstream of a large diesel engine and recovers exhaust energy that would otherwise be discharged through the funnel. The XW-TG concept is derived from the Aalborg XW design with gilled water tubes and is intended for installations that generate superheated steam for a steam-turbine-driven generator. The unit therefore forms part of a wider waste-heat-recovery plant that includes circulation equipment, steam separation and the associated control and protection systems. The 20bar suffix identifies this pressure-labelled variant of Aalborg-XW-TG-3; exact pressure, temperature and steam conditions must be taken from the manufacturer documentation.
