The Alfa Laval S.p.A. MAPX-204-HFO-Purifier is a legacy high-speed disc-stack oil separator configured for heavy fuel oil purification. It is normally installed in the engine-room fuel treatment plant between dirty-fuel storage or settling arrangements and the clean-fuel/service side. Its purpose is to use centrifugal separation to remove free water and suspended solids from the fuel before it reaches downstream fuel-system equipment.
