Refrigerant leak check: pressure test all connections, sight glass inspection, electronic leak detection on all joints, fittings, and heat exchanger tubing

Compressor inspection: oil level and quality check, bearing wear assessment (or magnetic bearing controller diagnostics on oil-free units), vibration analysis, motor winding insulation resistance test

Heat exchanger fouling and corrosion: tube-side and shell-side inspection for scale, biofilm, corrosion, and pitting; tube wall thickness measurement; sacrificial anode condition check for seawater-cooled condensers

Condenser and evaporator waterside: flow rate verification against design spec, entering/leaving water temperature differential check, water quality analysis (pH, conductivity, inhibitor concentration), seawater strainer cleaning

Control system and safety devices: calibration of temperature and pressure sensors, verification of high-pressure and low-pressure cutouts, flow switch operation, motor overload relay settings, OptiView/PLC control log review

Electrical systems: inspection of starter/VSD (variable speed drive) for loose connections, capacitor condition, harmonic distortion measurement, motor terminal voltage balance, insulation resistance testing

Vibration and shock isolation: inspection of anti-vibration mounts and flexible pipe connections for degradation, alignment check of compressor-motor coupling, shock-mount condition per MIL-S-901D requirements (naval units)

Lubrication system (oil-bearing units): oil sample analysis for acid number, viscosity, and metallic particle content; oil filter replacement; oil heater function check; oil pump performance verification
