Offshore Crane (Standard)

Visual inspection per ISO 4309; count broken wires, measure diameter, assess lubrication and corrosion; replace if more than 6 broken wires in 6 strands or 2 in one strand per DNV rules

Check hydraulic fluid level, color, and viscosity; inspect all hoses for leaks, cracks, and proper routing; verify hydraulic pressure during operation; test all hydraulic motors and cylinders for smooth operation

Visual surface inspection for cracks, especially at welds and high-stress areas; measure boom/jib deflection; inspect pedestal-to-deck connection bolts for tightness; check for paint deterioration and rust formation

Test all limit switches (upper, lower, radius limits); engage emergency stops; verify brake holding power under load; check brake pad wear and adjustment; test brake indicator lights

Inspect motor insulation and bearings; verify electrical continuity; test redundant power supply units (for electric cranes); check control panel for moisture, corrosion, loose connections; verify all pendant controls and limit switch wiring
