Crowcon Xgard IQ CH4/LEL-B is a fixed gas-detection equipment (Gas Detection / Fixed Gas Detection System). It is normally installed at fixed sampling or sensing points with indication at the relevant control or safety station. It is intended to warn personnel of hazardous gas concentrations, oxygen deficiency or other monitored atmospheric conditions according to the fitted sensor configuration. The meaning of any embedded size or rating code should be confirmed in manufacturer documentation. In service it interfaces with field sensors or sampling lines, alarm panel, power supply, ventilation or shutdown interfaces and remote indication.

A surveyor will normally look for valid calibration records, correct test gas and evidence that alarms and faults are acted upon.
Keep the approved calibration or bump-test gas arrangements, filters, sampling accessories, batteries or charging parts and replacement sensor modules allowed for onboard exchange by the manufacturer.
