Its primary duty is to lift stores, cargo, equipment or offshore loads within the crane's approved operating envelope. In service it interfaces with pedestal structure, hydraulic or electric drive, slew and hoist machinery, wire ropes, hook block, brakes, limit switches and load/safety controls.
