MacGregor Hatch Covers & Cargo Access. Ship hatch covers with hydraulically operated mechanisms that protect the hold against water ingress. Various designs (folding, side-rolling, piggyback) depending on ship type and deck configuration. All systems use a two-panel design with rubber seals, compression bars, hydraulic drives (cylinders/motors) and drainage systems with non-return valves. Class also checks securing device (cleat) condition and drainage arrangements at Annual and Intermediate Survey.
