MacGregor Deck Cranes. Electro-hydraulic deck cranes for ships with knuckle-jib option (optional). Drive via closed hydraulic system or electric (VFD). Lifting capacity 25-100 t (standard lines) to >500 t (heavy lift). Knuckle-boom construction with 360° rotation, stacking movements (hoisting/slewing/tilting). Typical application: container, multipurpose, bulk carrier vessels, cargo handling port/ship. Visual inspection for breaks, deformation, corrosion; DNV 5-year rule: sample and laboratory test; annual inspection of full length if damage indicators present → replacement if necessary
Rocking test (measure axial play); visual inspection: grease traces under bearing (dry = wear risk); take grease samples for ferrography analysis (wear particle monitoring: lamella particles = bearing damage)
