As an Air Handling Unit (AHU), it is normally installed in an accommodation, machinery or technical HVAC space connected to ductwork, refrigerant, chilled water, heating or electrical services as applicable. In that role, its primary purpose is to move, cool, heat, filter or condition air for occupied and technical ship spaces.
