About the Library

OceanSphere Engines is operated by OceanSphere Service Sp. z o.o., a marine technical service company. The library is led by Joshua-Gustav Kantner, licensed marine chief engineer, who worked at sea as a marine engineer before building this reference.

Why it exists

Engineers on board and buyers ashore need one place to find the exact type designation of a machine, its manufacturer, and the way to get parts or service for it. Most of that information is scattered across PDFs, old manuals and sales portals. We collect it, keep the type designation exact, and attach the enquiry route.

The library currently lists 187,541 equipment models.

What a model page contains

  • the manufacturer and the exact type designation as the manufacturer writes it
  • technical values where we have a source for them, with the source named
  • the equipment class and related models of the same family
  • a parts enquiry and a service enquiry that go to our service desk and partner workshops, not to a marketplace

How these values are collected is described on How the data is built.

What we do not do

We do not sell parts ourselves on this site and we do not publish prices from third-party portals. We do not copy manufacturer manuals. Trademarks and type names belong to their owners; this library is independent and not affiliated with any manufacturer.

Corrections

If a value, a designation or an image is wrong, write to the address in the imprint and name the model URL. Corrections are made by a person and dated.
