UX-40 Series

Plate Heat Exchanger · Heat Exchangers

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

Hisaka UX-40 Series is a gasketed plate heat exchanger. It is normally installed in an engine-room cooling, heating or process circuit between two separate fluid systems. Its purpose is to transfer heat efficiently across corrugated plates while keeping the two media separated. A gasketed plate pack can normally be opened for cleaning and plate replacement, which distinguishes it from permanently brazed plate units. The exact model designation and listed surface or duty information distinguish frame size, plate geometry and installed duty from neighboring exchangers; refer to manufacturer documentation for the exact figures.

Service

Service notes.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Trend inlet and outlet temperatures and pressure drop to identify fouling. Inspect the frame, tightening arrangement, port connections and visible gasket edges for leakage or distortion. Clean plates using methods compatible with plate and gasket materials and inspect individual plates for corrosion, deformation or cracking when opened. Confirm plate order and orientation during reassembly. Support connected piping independently so nozzle loads are not transferred into the frame. Refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact tightening dimension, gasket material, cleaning chemistry and pressure-test criteria.

Spare parts notes

Keep a set of model-correct plate gaskets, selected spare plates, port gaskets and any special frame sealing components recommended by the manufacturer. For critical coolers, enough plates and gaskets to recover from localized damage can reduce downtime. Verify materials and plate pattern against the exact serial number.

Free of charge — we forward your request to qualified suppliers for Hisaka equipment from our network of over 114,000 maritime companies.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we usually come back with prices; without them we have to ask first, which costs a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.
