TOH 5t/7bar

Thermal Oil Heater · Boilers

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

The Sunrod TOH 5t/7bar is a thermal-oil heater. It is normally installed in the machinery space connected to circulation pumps, expansion tank and heat consumers. It is designed for heating of a closed thermal-fluid circuit for cargo, fuel or process duties. In operation, the fired or waste-heat source transfers energy into circulating thermal oil instead of producing steam. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are heat duty, flow resistance, thermal-fluid volume, burner/exhaust arrangement and controls; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on circulation, thermal-fluid condition, heater leakage, expansion system, overtemperature trips and fire safety. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service

Service notes.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Inspect pressure parts or heater coils, heat-source/burner and refractory where applicable, gas-side cleanliness, circulation/feed systems and water or thermal-fluid condition. Verify level, pressure, temperature, flow, safety valves and shutdown/interlock functions applicable to the design. Review treatment, blowdown, soot-cleaning and operating records and use manufacturer/class procedures for pressure tests.

Spare parts notes

Carry approved gaskets, valve service parts, relevant pump seals/bearings, temperature/pressure/level sensors and heat-source-specific spares such as burner ignition/flame components or soot-cleaning parts. Pressure-part repair materials should only be used under approved manufacturer and class procedures.

Free of charge — send us your request for Sunrod equipment. Our team checks it and replies by e-mail.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we can check availability and prices faster; without them we may have to ask first, which can cost a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — attach it below or send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.
