Self-Priming Pump · Pumps

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

The Speck Pumpen Speck SK 100-8 is a self-priming pump. It is normally installed in bilge, stripping, drainage, deck or general-service systems where liquid may lie below pump level. It is designed for establishing suction and moving liquid without a permanently flooded suction line. In operation, an internal priming/separation arrangement removes entrained air and restores liquid flow. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are flow, pressure, suction-lift capability, materials and internal pump design; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on priming performance, suction air leaks, seals, strainers, bearings and non-return valves. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service

Service notes.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Trend suction/discharge pressure, flow where available, motor current, vibration, bearing temperature and leakage. Inspect strainers, valves, seals, bearings, coupling, foundation and rotation and verify standby/changeover arrangements for critical services. Apply pump-type-specific manufacturer limits during overhaul.

Spare parts notes

Carry seals or packing, gaskets, bearings, coupling elements, filter/strainer consumables and selected motor/starter parts. Critical duties may justify a spare impeller, rotor/stator, screw/gear set or complete pump according to the actual pump principle.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we can check availability and prices faster; without them we may have to ask first, which can cost a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — attach it below or send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.
