Speck SK 10-8

Self-Priming Pump · Pumps

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

The Speck Pumpen Speck SK 10-8 is a self-priming pump. It is normally installed in bilge, stripping, drainage, deck or general-service systems where liquid may lie below pump level. It is designed for establishing suction and moving liquid without a permanently flooded suction line. In operation, an internal priming/separation arrangement removes entrained air and restores liquid flow. The supplied entry states the pressure designation as 8 bar; this information is retained unchanged. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are flow, pressure, suction-lift capability, materials and internal pump design; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on priming performance, suction air leaks, seals, strainers, bearings and non-return valves. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Service notes

Trend suction/discharge pressure, flow where available, motor current, vibration, bearing temperature and leakage. Inspect strainers, valves, seals, bearings, coupling, foundation and rotation and verify standby/changeover arrangements for critical services. Apply pump-type-specific manufacturer limits during overhaul.

Spare parts notes

Carry seals or packing, gaskets, bearings, coupling elements, filter/strainer consumables and selected motor/starter parts. Critical duties may justify a spare impeller, rotor/stator, screw/gear set or complete pump according to the actual pump principle.

Free of charge — we forward your request to qualified suppliers for Speck Pumpen equipment from our network of over 114,000 maritime companies.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we usually come back with prices; without them we have to ask first, which costs a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.

Frequently asked

Three things people ask first.

Is this model's data free?

Yes. Specifications, documents and service notes for this model are readable without an account. An account adds saved searches and requests, nothing is taken away.

Can you find a part for this exact model?

Yes. Tell us the manufacturer, the model and what you need — our desk asks the right suppliers from a network of over 114,000 companies and comes back with a quote or a sourcing plan.

The specifications look wrong — what now?

Send us the nameplate or the correct value. We check it against the manufacturer datasheet or class-society record and update the page.
