The Twin Disc MG507 is a marine single‑reduction propulsion gearbox rated at 507 kW, providing a 2.5:1 speed reduction from roughly 1800 rpm engine input to about 720 rpm propeller output. As a Reduction Gear, it is normally installed between a propulsion engine or motor and the shaft line, reducing or adapting rotational speed and transmitting torque to the propeller.
