This model allows students and ship officers to carry outintegrated, real-time training exercisesin liquid cargo handling operations, providing hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment. The chemical carrier model is based on a real ship and is designed to represent a wide range of chemical carriers, including tank types 1, 2, and 3. It features 37 tanks, each equipped with fixed submerged pumps, separate lines, and manifolds. Additionally, the model includes an inert gas generator, a bank of N2 bottles, and 20 pre-configured cargo types, with the option for users to input 10 custom cargoes. Tank atmosphere data is continuously monitored, and while no chemical reactions occur between cargoes, some may solidify. The LNG-M model meets the STCW requirements for sections A-II/1, A-II/2, A-II/3, A-III/1, A-III/2, and A-V/1, which cover: This model is certified and approved according to DNV’s Standard for Certification of Maritime Simulator Systems ST-033.
