Visual inspection for breaks, deformation, corrosion; DNV 5-year rule: sample and laboratory test; annual inspection of full length if damage indicators present → replacement if necessary
Rocking test (measure axial play); visual inspection: grease traces under bearing (dry = wear risk); take grease samples for ferrography analysis (wear particle monitoring: lamella particles = bearing damage)
Visual inspection for oil leaks at valves, cylinders, hoses; hydraulic oil samples for analysis (water content, wear metals); pressure test and control valve functional test; OnWatch Scout IoT condition monitoring optionally available
Surface cracks and deformation (visual inspection); tensile test to UNE-EN ISO 6892-1:2010; 'safety-related' components: high inspection level before commissioning and during service life
