Inspection checklist

• Visually check the hose for cuts, abrasion, perishing or mildew
• Check couplings for damage or corrosion and correct thread engagement with hydrant and nozzle
• Confirm the hose is correctly flaked or rolled in its box, ready for immediate use
• Pressure test the hose at the required interval
• Check the nozzle jet/spray pattern and shut-off function
• Verify hose length and coupling type match the fire main standard fitted on the vessel
