Inspection checklist

• Check insulation thickness/coverage is maintained at deck penetrations, stiffeners and edges

• Mineral wool fibres are an irritant - use appropriate PPE when handling during repair
• Do not penetrate without an approved fire-stop detail for the specific penetration

Class survey

Checked as part of fire division integrity surveys under class/SOLAS II-2: surveyors confirm the A-60 deck insulation matches the approved fire control plan, that penetrations are properly fire-stopped, and that any repairs use insulation and cladding covered by an equivalent type approval.
