Inspection checklist

• Visual check of panel surface for damage, delamination or discolouration
• Inspect joints and seams for gaps or missing sealant that would compromise B-class integrity
• Check support/suspension grid for corrosion or loose fixings
• Verify any penetrations (lights, speakers, ducting) retain approved B15 detailing per drawing
• Confirm certification/type marking is present and matches the approved fire control plan
• Check for moisture ingress or staining indicating core degradation

Safety

• Damaged panels reduce fire/smoke integrity of escape routes where fitted in corridors/stairways
• Panels removed for access or refit work must be reinstated with correct B15 detailing before the space is left unattended, otherwise the fire division is effectively open

Class survey

B-class divisions (here B15, i.e. 15-minute fire integrity) are verified against the ship's approved fire control plan at Annual and Renewal Survey; class checks that penetrations, joints and any modifications since build or last survey retain the certified fire rating, and that the type approval marking corresponds to the material actually fitted.
