ODME (Oil Discharge Monitoring Equipment)

Rivertrace ODME is a mandatory MARPOL Annex I device on every tanker >150 GT. The ODME monitors the oil content in ballast water being discharged overboard and calculates the instantaneous and cumulative oil discharge rate. If the limit values are exceeded (15 l/nautical mile or 1/30,000 of the cargo), discharge is automatically stopped.
