Marine OCM (Oil Content Monitor)

The Oil Content Monitor (OCM) is a MARPOL Annex I mandatory device on every vessel with OWS. It measures the residual oil content in the treated bilge water before overboard discharge and must show <15 ppm, otherwise the discharge is automatically recirculated. IMO standard MEPC.107(49) defines the requirements. Various manufacturers (Jowa, RWO/Veolia, Rivertrace, Deckma) — all per the same IMO standard. Frequent subject of Port State Control inspections.
