C-SB/C-SC Scroll Marine Series
Panasonic (formerly Sanyo, acquired 2011) supplies hermetic scroll compressors for smaller marine AC systems, particularly split air conditioning units for cabins, bridge and radio room. The C-SB/C-SC series are compact, low-vibration scroll compressors. Not for central refrigeration systems, but for decentralized split AC systems on ships. Hermetic design — if defective, the compressor is replaced as a whole.
