SMC Series
Sabroe is a traditional Danish refrigeration compressor manufacturer from Aarhus, founded 1898, part of York (now Johnson Controls) since 1999. The SMC series is the industry standard for marine ammonia refrigeration systems on fish processing ships, reefer carriers and cold storage ships. Open-drive design with external motor and coupling enables simple maintenance and replacement. Sabroe/JCI dominates the marine ammonia segment with an estimated 40–50% market share.
