Oily Water Separator (15 ppm) · Oily Water Separator
The Bilge Master E-500, E-1200 and E-2500 "Clean Design" series are 15 ppm bilge water separators from GEA Westfalia Separator Group. They are installed in the engine room to treat oily bilge water before approved overboard discharge, with oily residue collected for retention on board. Surveyors treat the separator together with its oil content monitor and automatic stopping arrangement as the MARPOL Annex I discharge-control system.
What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Check the oil content monitor calibration certificate and the alarm and automatic stopping function at survey, and confirm the Oil Record Book entries match operation. Coalescer elements, sensors and valves should be inspected for fouling and correct response.
