MMPX-403-HFO-Purifier

The Alfa Laval S.p.A. MMPX-403-HFO-Purifier is a compact high-speed disc-stack oil separator configured for heavy fuel oil purification. It is normally installed in the engine-room fuel treatment plant between dirty-fuel storage or settling arrangements and the clean-fuel/service side. Its purpose is to use centrifugal separation to remove free water and suspended solids from the fuel before it reaches downstream fuel-system equipment. Heavy fuel oil normally requires suitable conditioning and heating before separation, while the exact inlet condition must follow the manufacturer documentation for the installed machine. The MMPX family is used in packaged oil-separation systems; the exact bowl, operating-water and discharge sequence depends on the installed specification.
