AlfaVap-300-180P
AlfaVap-300-180P by Alfa Laval S.p.A. is a semi-welded plate heat exchanger from the AlfaVap family, designed primarily for rising-film evaporation and thermosiphon reboiler duties. The plate pack is built from welded plate cassettes, with heating steam on the welded side and the evaporating process fluid on the gasketed side. Its plate pattern is intended to maintain strong turbulence and heat transfer while limiting fouling in concentrated or relatively viscous media. On marine installations it is more likely to appear in a specialised process, waste-treatment, fuel-processing or floating-production package than in a conventional central-cooling circuit. The openable frame permits inspection and mechanical cleaning and also allows the thermal surface to be adapted when the process design permits. The 180P suffix identifies this configured variant within the AlfaVap-300 family; refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact plate arrangement and design duty.

Service & Maintenance
Trend feed, vapour, condensate and heating-side temperatures and pressure losses against the commissioning baseline. Inspect for gasket leakage, plate-pack alignment, fouling and evidence of cross-contamination, and use CIP or mechanical cleaning methods compatible with the installed materials. After opening, restore the plate sequence and tightening condition exactly as specified by the manufacturer. Survey attention should include pressure-boundary integrity, isolation, leak history and evidence that cleaning chemicals and process media remain compatible; refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.
