Inspect wire rope and hoisting cables for kinks, broken wires, corrosion, and wear — replace if degradation exceeds class-society limits

Check all hydraulic hoses, fittings, cylinders, and seals for leaks, chafing, and pressure integrity; verify hydraulic fluid cleanliness (NAS 7 / ISO 4406)

Inspect slewing ring gear, slewing bearing, and pinion for backlash, tooth wear, lubrication condition, and fastener torque

Test overload protection systems (AOPS/MOPS) and load limiters; verify SWL indicator calibration and alarm set-points (90 % / 100 % / 110 %)

Check wire rope sheaves, pulleys, and hook assembly (hook latch, swivel, safety pin, and deformation) for wear and proper rotation

Lubricate all grease points on boom pivots, knuckle joints, extension cylinders, and slewing bearing per manufacturer schedule; inspect centralised greasing system if fitted

Inspect structural elements — boom sections, pedestal, turntable, and connecting welds — for cracks, corrosion, and mechanical damage; verify anti-corrosion coating condition (ISO 12944 C5-M / CX requirement)

Function-test all controls (local panel, remote control, operator cabin), safety limit switches, heel limiting device, lighting, and emergency-stop circuits; verify classification-society annual test records and logbook entries
