Impeller inspection: check for corrosion, erosion, salt deposits, and mechanical damage on blades and hub; re-balance if blade geometry is altered

Bearing inspection and lubrication: verify bearing temperatures, vibration levels, and lubrication intervals per manufacturer schedule; replace bearings showing elevated noise or heat

Housing and casing integrity: inspect welded seams and epoxy coating for corrosion, pitting, and paint blistering typical in salt-laden marine atmospheres

Drive system check: inspect V-belts or direct couplings for wear, tension, and alignment; verify motor mounting bolts are torqued to spec

Motor and electrical inspection: check motor insulation resistance, terminal connections, water-tight cable entries, and ensure marine-grade motor ratings are intact

Air inlet and outlet clearance: inspect inlet cones, ForeFinger devices, and ductwork connections for obstructions, fouling, or deformation that degrade aeraulic performance

ATEX / spark-resistant execution: verify that earthing straps, non-sparking material coatings, and clearances between rotating and stationary parts comply with ATEX or ABS/DNV requirements

Vibration and noise baseline: measure and log fan vibration at defined operating points; compare against baseline to detect imbalance, bearing wear, or structural resonance early
