Impeller/wheel inspection: check for corrosion, fouling, cracks, erosion of blades, and rebalance if blade material loss is detected

Bearing condition: listen for abnormal noise (grinding, squealing), check for play in the shaft, and lubricate or replace sealed bearings per manufacturer interval

Housing and casing: inspect for cracks, corrosion pitting (especially weld seams on aluminium housings), and integrity of stainless-steel fasteners; re-apply protective coating as needed

Motor and electrical: verify voltage and amperage draw against nameplate values, inspect wiring insulation for chafing or heat damage, check waterproof seals on junction boxes, and confirm ignition-protection compliance is intact (SAE J1171 / ISO 8846 where applicable)

Duct connections and hose flanges: check for leaks, cracks, loose clamps, or flattening that would restrict airflow; ensure hose is free of kinks

Airflow performance check: measure static pressure and CFM output at commissioning reference points; significant deviation indicates fouling, wear, or duct obstruction

Vibration and mounting: inspect mounting brackets and isolation mounts for loosening, cracking, or corrosion; excessive vibration indicates imbalance or worn bearings

Filter/screen (if fitted): clean inlet screens or filter elements of salt, grease, and debris to maintain rated airflow and prevent motor overload
